How to Get Involved with AI Leadership Week

AI Leadership Week thrives because of the active involvement of professionals, students, and community members who are passionate about responsible AI leadership. There are multiple ways to contribute, whether by volunteering your time, sharing your expertise, or helping to create a memorable and impactful event. Joining one of our volunteer committees is a great opportunity to build professional connections, develop leadership skills, and play a direct role in shaping this week long experience. Volunteers will receive recognition for their contributions and have access to exclusive networking opportunities with AI leaders and innovators. No matter your background, your voice and participation are welcomed to help make AI Leadership Week 2025 a success.

We encourage you to get involved by signing up for one of our five key volunteer committees: Speakers Committee, Moderating Committee, Volunteering Committee, Outreach & Promotions Committee, and Events & Logistics Committee. Each committee plays a unique and valuable role in ensuring the week runs smoothly and delivers a meaningful experience for all attendees. Descriptions for each committee are outlined below:

Speakers Committee

The Speakers Committee is responsible for identifying, recommending, and coordinating speakers for AI Leadership Week. Committee members will research top industry experts, thought leaders, and emerging voices in the AI space, ensuring a diverse and engaging lineup of presenters. Members will assist with outreach, speaker onboarding, and preparation of introductory materials for sessions. This committee also plays a role in selecting keynote speakers and facilitating pre-event communication with panelists. By joining the Speakers Committee, volunteers will have the chance to connect directly with AI leaders and gain insights into speaker engagement strategies. This is a great committee for individuals interested in public speaking, event planning, or industry networking.

Moderating Committee

The Moderating Committee plays a central role during AI Leadership Week by ensuring that each session runs smoothly and professionally. Committee members will serve as session moderators, introducing speakers, managing Q&A sessions, and keeping discussions on track. Training and resources will be provided to help moderators feel confident and prepared for their sessions. In addition to live moderation, this group may help draft discussion questions and session outlines. Participation on this committee is ideal for individuals who are comfortable speaking publicly and enjoy facilitating engaging conversations. It’s a unique opportunity to develop stage presence while contributing to the event’s success.

Volunteering Committee

The Volunteering Committee helps recruit, coordinate, and support all AI Leadership Week volunteers. Members will assist with volunteer outreach, scheduling, and communications, making sure all volunteer roles are filled and everyone is properly informed. This committee also serves as a support hub during the event, assisting volunteers with any questions or last-minute needs. If you enjoy working with people and have a talent for organization and team-building, this committee is a perfect fit. Members will gain hands-on experience in volunteer management and event coordination while helping create a positive environment for all contributors.

Outreach & Promotions Committee

The Outreach & Promotions Committee is focused on raising awareness about AI Leadership Week and driving attendance. Volunteers will assist in creating and sharing promotional materials across social media platforms, email campaigns, and partner networks. The committee will also work on building relationships with community groups, industry organizations, and educational institutions to expand event reach. This is an excellent committee for those interested in marketing, communications, or social media strategy. Members will help craft the public voice of AI Leadership Week and ensure our message resonates with a wide and diverse audience.

Events & Logistics Committee

The Events & Logistics Committee oversees the behind-the-scenes planning and execution of AI Leadership Week activities. Committee members will coordinate session schedules, manage virtual event platforms, and ensure technical readiness for all sessions. This group will also assist in organizing special networking sessions and coordinating any interactive event features. Volunteers in this committee should have strong attention to detail and enjoy operational planning. It’s a great opportunity for those who like event production, virtual logistics, and making sure things run seamlessly from start to finish.
